Nursing Advisory Council
A message from the Chair of the Nursing Advisory Council
For me, participation in the Nursing Advisory Council is a privilege. I am a graduate of the UBC School of Nursing from 1975 and I have a number of family members who are nurses. Nursing has a unique role and I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in a group that is influencing the education of future nurses.
The Nursing Advisory Council is comprised of a committed group of individuals who meet quarterly to support the School of Nursing. We are committed to using our diverse backgrounds and experience within the community and the university to further the mission and vision of the School. All the members have a special connection with the School of Nursing either as an alumnus, a parent of a student, a community leader or a friend of the School of Nursing.
The members of the Nursing Advisory Council bring a wealth of experience with inspiring stories and thoughtful ideas on how we can help champion the School’s goals.
I can speak to the commitment of every member of this group in supporting the director in her goal of expanding the visibility and role of the UBC School of Nursing. We have the unique opportunity of providing input as the school seeks to face the opportunities ahead and celebrate its continued accomplishments.
