Our City Centre 1 location strengthens UBC School of Nursing's presence in Fraser Health, bringing students and faculty closer to the communities where nurses and nurse practitioners are most needed. The space supports:
- Student learning and collaboration
- Partnerships with Fraser Health
- A stronger UBC presence in Surrey
Who is at the Surrey Site?
- First- and second-year Nurse Practitioner (NP) students
- BSN students in clinical practice at Surrey Memorial Hospital
- Faculty and staff supporting the NP program
Getting Here
- SkyTrain: 12-minute walk from King George Station
- Bus: Stops nearby at Surrey Memorial Hospital and King George Boulevard
- Parking: Available in the City Centre 1 parkade (entrance off 137 Street). Hourly and daily UBC Parking rates available. 22 spots are clearly marked for UBC School of Nursing. Other UBC spots are for Faculty of Medicine OSOT – do not park there.
When our 22 spaces are full, please purchase public parking. Accessible Parking: Located near the main entrance

Building Access
- Building and Elevator Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM | Saturday 7:00 AM—6:00 PM | Sunday & Holidays: Closed
- Entry: Use your UBC student/faculty card on the 10th floor. Students may access Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
- Reception Desk: 10th Floor

- 1 Classroom & 1 Skills Lab
- Faculty and Staff Offices - Available by appointment
- Lounge & Kitchen - fridge, microwave, and informal seating
Quick Tips
- The elevator is open whenever the building is open, but we recommend that staff and faculty carry UBC ID cards to access School spaces
