Dr. Lauck is a university-appointed and hospital-located advanced practice nurse scientist with expertise in cardiovascular health and acute/critical care health services. She is a UBC Knowledge Exchange & Mobilisation scholar who is committed to linking clinical practice, policy and scholarship through active engagement with patients, families, clinicians, and government organizations in all aspects of her research program. Her interests focus on:
1. the development of clinical processes and operations,
2. the integration of patients’ perspectives, values and preferences, and
3. the contributions of nursing to improve outcomes and health services.

Leah Lambert, PhD, RN
Senior Scientist, Nursing Research, Department of Clinical Research, BC Cancer Research Institute
Clinical Associate Professor, UBC School of Nursing

Dr. Leah Lambert is a Senior Scientist, Clinical Research at BC Cancer, with a cross appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor at the UBC School of Nursing. Her program of research takes an equity-first approach to examining the needs of cancer patients and caregivers, with a focus on expanding multidisciplinary approaches to problem solving within the care system. She investigates how cancer care practices, policies, and structures contribute to inequities, and identifies strategies to enhance equity, improve patient outcomes, and stabilize the workforce. Her long-term vision is to advance more equitable, responsive, and person-centered cancer services by generating evidence-based strategies for addressing differences at the point of care and through system-level approaches to close the health equity gap.
