Journeys in Care: Stories from Nurses of Indian Heritage 

This exhibit was curated by Dr. Lydia Wytenbroek, with the support of Ranjit Dhari, and with several UBC students and educators as contributors. 

The exhibit explores these themes: Coming to Canada, Becoming a Nurse, Nursing Education, Firsts and Challenges, & Inspiring the Next Generation, and includes two filmed interviews and 3 audio kiosks in which 5 nurses share their stories in their own words.

In advance of the formal opening of the exhibit, Surrey Museum hosted a very successful "Preview" Launch Event on March 14th. The exhibit runs until July 19, 2026. Admission is free.
