Funded by Health Canada, the Stigma and Resilience Among Vulnerable Youth Centre (SARAVYC) has been developing and delivering evidence-based workshops designed to provide Newcomer parents and caregivers with sexual health information about young people like theirs in Canada. In this session, Yeshvi Mehta will provide an overview of the project, share early insights from workshops delivered so far, and share comments from participants. She will also speak to how community members and organizations can get involved — whether by participating in a workshop, hosting one, or exploring opportunities for future collaboration.
This session will be of interest to researchers, students, service providers, educators, community organizations, and healthcare professionals working alongside Newcomer youth and their families.
