Film Making for Researchers
Research Toolbox Series
Date: 19 Jun 2017
Presented by: Britney Dennison, Deputy Director - UBC Global Reporting Centre, Research Advisor - UBC Nursing & Andrew Munroe, Knowledge Exchange Specialist, UBC School of Nursing
Room: T206, UBC School of Nursing (3rd floor of UBC Hospital)
Britney Dennison and Andrew Munroe share proven approaches on how to plan, execute, and disseminate research films from the Men’s Health Research unit.
Using the short films Evidence of a Struggle, Contact! Unload, and Still Here as case studies, each of which served a very different purpose, we’ll look at some of the ways that films can be a big help in meeting the overall goals of our health research. We’ll also touch on the practical side, including budgeting, realistic timelines, and storyboarding.
