Interprofessional Collaboration helps ensure safe patient outcomes. In building collaborative engagement through interprofessional education (IPE), students learn in safe environments on becoming health collaborative practitioners who will make a difference in health care. The panel of health profession program educators will share about the past, present and future of interprofessional education, their trials and tribulations with IPE, and models taken up within their programs to foster interprofessional learning and engagement.
UBC Nursing's Professor of Teaching, Elsie Tan, and UBC Dentistry's Clinical Assistant Professor, Carrie Krekoski, UBC Physical Therapy department head Sue Murphy, and lecturer and pharmacist Larry Leung from UBC's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences come together to share insights and strategies on Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice.
