Nursing Now Campaign Launches in Canada

Nursing Now 2020 is a worldwide campaign with the object of raising the profile of nursing globally -- releasing potential of nurses to deliver Universal Health Coverage, improve the lives of women, and strengthen local economies. According to the WHO website, the three-year campaign is run in collaboration with the World Health Organization and the International Council of Nurses. "Nursing Now seeks to empower nurses to take their place at the heart of tackling 21st Century health challenges and maximize their contribution to achieving Universal Health Coverage."
The Nursing Now BC campaign launched in May, 2019 during the Graduate Student Nursing Association's 7th Annual Grad Symposium. The campaign was launched in partnership with the University of Victoria and our local Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC and has been endorsed by David Byers, Chief Nurse Executive, Clinical Integration, Regulation & Education Division Ministry of Health. Nursing Now Canada was launched on Sunday, June 2 in Vancouver by the Canadian Nurses Association, the Chief Nursing Officer of the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, the Canadian Indigenous Nurses Association, and the International Council of Nurses.
