SARAVYC honoured with Robert H DuRant Award
12 Mar 2019
Dr Elizabeth Saewyc and SARAVYC research team members have been awarded the Robert H. Durant Award for Statistical Rigor and Innovation from the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. This award is given for the innovative new SLEPHI method for evaluating population health interventions, as demonstrated in the centre's recently released paper: Investigating site-level longitudinal effects of population health interventions: Gay-Straight Alliances and school safety. Only one such award is given each year Dr Saewyc accepted the honour in Washington DC on March 8 at the Annual Meeting of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine.
The SLEPHI method was also published recently in Social Science and Medicine—Population Health, and Dr Saewyc gave the platform presentation at the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine annual conference on March 7, 2019.
