CIHR confirms funding for BC Primary Care Health and Research Network
Canadian Institutes for Health Research has confirmed funding for BC’s Primary Care Health Care and Research Network. UBC Nursing Professor Sabrina Wong is one of the leads of the Network, which is part of Canada’s Strategy for Patient Oriented Research.
The BC-PHCRN’s goals are to develop systems to measure health and health care outcomes and the performance of the primary care system; to generate knowledge through their research; and to create a community where ideas of improving primary care is shared among patients, policy makers, clinicians and researchers across health professions.
The Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research has provided matching funding to support the work of the BC-PHCRN.
