29 Sep 2015
A new study published in the Canadian Journal of Public Health shows as much as 60 per cent of Canadian youth are consistently exceeding daily consumption guidelines for alcohol.
Adolescent health expert and UBC Nursing faculty member Elizabeth Saewyc spoke on BC Almanac about the study's results and implications for youth health.
(The interview with Elizabeth Saewyc begins at 15:00)
Says Saewyc: "It's tricky because you're talking about changing culture and changing a lot of peoples' perceptions...but part of it is actually helping people understand some of those consequences, some of those effects."
The study was done by the Centre for Addictions Research of B.C.
