SENIOR GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT

Qualifications Required: Graduate students in Nursing; Undergraduate degree in Nursing required; Strong critical appraisal skills; Excellent interpersonal communication skills; Very good computer skills; Excellent academic writing skills.
Duties:
Perform lead hand duties under the direct supervision of a faculty member. These activities may include:
- Provide continuous leadership and mentorship to TAs
- Attend 1-day mentorship workshop delivered by CTLT
- Facilitate, deliver, and evaluate TA training program
- Co-ordinate TA evaluations
- Maintain ongoing communication with School of Nursing (SoN) AD of Graduate Programs
- Coordinate with faculty liaison to support TA development, workshops, and engagement
- Serve as contact person for Canadian Union Of Public Employees Local 2278 (CUPE2278) in the (SoN)
- Coordinating TA orientation meeting(s)
- Attend (SoN) Health and Safety meetings
- Work with (SoN) AD of Graduate Programs and Manager, Operations & Finance regarding the funding and management of resources available for the TA Training Program.
Hours of work: up to 20 hours per term
Current salary: $42.95 per hour
