Using case studies from her team’s work at Columbia Nursing, Dr. Arcia will give an overview of the steps in the visualization process, highlighting applications of relevant theories, and conclude with some key lessons learned.

Bio: Adriana Arcia, PhD, RN, Assistant Professor, Columbia University School of Nursing, strives to make health information easy to access and understand, particularly for people with limited health literacy. Her work focuses on using tailored information visualizations to return research results to participants and to communicate clinical data to patients.
