Registration opens at 0830. The event starts at 0900 and runs until 1600.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by all United Nations (UN) Member States in 2015, recognized that ending poverty and other social disadvantages must be guided by strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, spur economic growth, and tackling climate change. To mobilize this call-to-action, 17 Sustainable Development Goals were formed as a global partnership between UN countries. The theme for this conference is informed by the diversity of the Sustainable Development Goals and the engagement that they will help facilitate.

This symposium provides an opportunity for students in graduate and undergraduate programs in nursing and other health-related fields to discuss and address how these goals relate to their own research and work.

 

Call for abstract submission deadline: April 9, 2019

The Graduate Student Research Symposium provides an opportunity for graduate students to share innovative projects, scholarship, and research in a dynamic, interactive, and supportive setting. Students in graduate and undergraduate programs in nursing and other health-related fields are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation. A variety of submissions are welcome including:

  • Theoretical, philosophical, or policy papers
  • Nurse Practitioner capstone projects
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) synthesis projects
  • Undergraduate honours projects
  • Thesis or dissertation proposals
  • Major essays from Master’s or doctoral program
  • Preliminary findings or completed research

No project is too big or too small to submit!
