Bio: Robert Rivers received his doctorate under supervision from Dr. Elizabeth Saewyc examining the role of school connectedness on substance use patterns of street-involved youth. He began working in federal politics with an MP who served on the Standing Committee of Health where he outlined the national pharmacare study with a colleague that was conducted by the PBO. He also worked as the lead parliamentary affairs advisor to the Government Representative in the Senate on the Cannabis Act. He is interested in teaching others about the parliamentary process relevant to health research and policy.
