Climate-Related Weather Events: Experiences of Families of Children with Medical Complexity
About
UBC Thriving Kids Research Cluster webinar
Dr. Ben Mortenson and Dr. Vanessa Fong will be presenting their research findings around the experiences of families of children with medical complexities during extreme weather events related to climate change. The presentation will also include a firsthand account from one of our family partners, Sandra Kahle, of evacuating from wildfires with a child who has complex medical needs. The webinar will include recommendations for preparing for future evacuations and will be followed by a Q&A
This webinar is part of a series presented through the UBC Thriving Kids Research Cluster, a network of researchers, clinicians, advocates and community members working together to re-imagine supports for children with medical complexity and their families.
