Area of Research
Research Focus
The primary focus of my research during my academic career was the role of nursing in the provision of community-based health care for children with complex health needs and their families. I conducted both quantitative and qualitative studies:
-
The development, implementation, and evaluation of an education/support program for parents of children with complex health care needs;
-
Nursing’s role in home care of children with complex health care needs and their families,
-
The contributions of advanced practice nurses to the community-based health care of children with chronic health conditions and their families.
