Bio
In her role as Director of Strategic Initiatives at the BC Centre for Palliative Care, Kathleen has advocated for a pro-active approach to providing a learning environment for nursing students.
She is currently collaborating with the UBC Division of Palliative Medicine, School of Nursing and UBC Health to continue efforts to incorporate a vital practice support tool, the Serious Illness Conversation Guide into inter-disciplinary curriculum.
Kathleen would like to add value to the UBC School of Nursing as a guest lecturer in the areas of leadership, knowledge translation, home and community contexts and palliative care. Furthermore, she is open to being a preceptor for nursing students at the undergraduate and masters’ level. She would also consider being a member of advisory or scientific committees for student theses or curriculum development.
