Through the contributions of donors, the UBC School of Nursing is pleased to offer the inaugural Graduate Student Conference Travel Award to support full-time and part-time trainees registered in a master's or doctoral nursing program to present their research or other scholarly products (oral or poster) at peer-reviewed national or international (i.e., out-of-province) conferences or symposia.
Doctoral student recipients of this award are generously supported through the Ratner Johnson Endowment for Doctoral Education in Nursing.
- The value of the Travel Award is $500, which is limited to once per degree program.
- The total amount available for this funding opportunity annually is $5,000, enough to fund 10 awards/calendar year (Jan-Dec).
- Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once the annual award quota has been met, the program is suspended until the fund resets in January of the next year.
* At this time, post-doctoral fellows and interdisciplinary studies graduate program students are not eligible to apply.
