Planetary health refers to a systems approach to health that addresses planetary boundaries and linkages between human well-being and the state of the natural systems on which it depends.

This graduate student led session will provide the audience with an introduction to Planetary Health with an emphasis on the role that nursing plays. Presenters will disseminate key learnings from recently attending the BC Coalition Institute in Victoria in August 2019, alongside actions that can be taken to address these critical matters in academia, practice, and beyond.  Examples of key activities will also shed light on how one can enact change within their own communities.
