Using implementation science to tackle discrimination in healthcare
About
Time: 11:30am - 12:30pm
Known for her research in the fields of violence against women and girls and research ethics, Dr. Vicky Bungay’s work focuses on addressing health inequities by improving health service delivery. In this lecture, Dr. Bungay looks at how we can effectively use implementation science to tackle discrimination within emergency departments. Drawing on principles of equity-oriented care, front-line ownership and change theory, she illustrates how to implement interventions in logical ways that have greater chance of actual uptake in the clinical setting.
Lectures are free and open to the public.
