About
Engage. Impact. Transform.
Today’s societal challenges are complex. Addressing them requires co-creating knowledge, rapidly translating it into action, and fostering collaboration across institutions and communities. Partnered research—a collaborative approach that brings together academic institutions and wider communities—is essential to tackling critical issues such as climate change, health disparities, truth and reconciliation, and social inequalities.
On June 12 at UBC Robson Square, the 2025 UBC Partnering in Research Conference will bring together 200+ faculty, graduate students, staff, and community partners to explore the complexities and rewards of partnered research.
Through keynotes, exercises, and interactive sessions, discover ways to build equitable partnerships, create real-world impact, and transform research practices for systemic change.
Co-organized by UBC’s Knowledge Exchange Unit, Indigenous Research Support Initiative, Office of Community Engagement, and the Centre for Asian Canadian Research and Engagement, the conference is free for UBC faculty, staff, graduate students, and external partners who collaborate with UBC.
