In this session, we review the SSHRC funding suite and the support and services available to researchers and trainees through SPARC. Additional tips and strategies on eligibility, the fit between your research project and SSHRC and how to frame your topic will also be covered.
BIO: Dr. Bungay holds a SSHRC Insight grant and a SSHRC funded CRC in Gender, Equity and Community Engagement. Her work addresses health inequities facing people involved in the commercial sex industry and those who are street-involved. She conducts community driven research in the fields of research ethics, mental health, sexual health, occupational health and safety, harm reduction programming and gender based violence.
SPARC (Support Programs to Advance Research Capacity) is a UBC office supporting strategic funding proposals with professional services and resources (www.sparc.ubc.ca).
