Transformative Practices in Long-Term Care
About
Venue: UBC Robson Square - Lecture Theatre [ MAP]
Time: 3-5pm
Continuing a tradition of offering a provincially focused afternoon symposium session in advance of the evening keynote Marion Woodward Lecture, our invited panelists will help spark a dynamic dialogue on dementia care in BC.
Panelists:
- Dr. John Keady, Professor of Older People's Mental Health Nursing, University of Manchester
- Dr. Alison Phinney, Associate Professor, School of Nursing, University of British Columbia
- Jo-Ann Tait, Director, Elder Care and Palliative Services, Providence Health Care
- Nancy Gault, Deputy Advocate, Office of the Seniors Advocate
Moderator: Sarah Leavitt, UBC Lecturer & author of Tangles
This moderated discussion will consider dementia supports across the spectrum of care and consider how to transform dementia care in British Columbia, not just at the level of individual care, but also at a systems level.
