The American Academy of Nursing (Academy) announced on August 4, 2021 that it has selected 225 distinguished nurse leaders to be inducted into the 2021 Class of Fellows. Among them is Dr. Jennifer Baumbusch, an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing. On October 7-9 at the Academy's Health Policy Conference to be held both virtually and in person, Dr. Baumbusch will be recognized for her "significant contributions to health and health care."

Academy President Eileen Sullivan-Marx, PhD, RN, FAAN is quoted in the press release, stating, “The Academy’s Fellows embody our values of equity, diversity and inclusivity, inquiry, integrity, and courage, which enable us to achieve new heights of impact that advance health policy across the globe. Congratulations to this dynamic cohort of leaders who bring diverse experience and expertise to the Fellowship.”

Dr. Baumbusch has also been presented with the Legacy 2020 Centenary Awards of Distinction from her alma mater, Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing. Read more about the Centenary Award below.
