Congratulations to Dr. Sabrina Wong for being elected as one of the 71 new fellows receiving the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences Award (CAHS)! Canada-wide, she is one of four nurses named for this year.
The Canadian Academy of Health Sciences brings together top-ranked health/biomedical researchers and scholars who strive to make positive impacts in healthcare, particularly on urgent health concerns that matter to Canadians. Drawn from different disciplines and universities, the new group Fellows not only evaluate health challenges but also recommend actionable, strategic solutions.
Dr. Sabrina Wong's contributions as a scholar and a leader in primary care research are widely recognized both nationally and internationally. Furthermore, Dr. Wong is a co-chair for the Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network, where she focuses on developing a primary care federated clinical electronic medical record used for research, quality improvement and disease surveillance.
