UBC Nursing assistant professor Farinaz Havaei and her team, with funding from the BC Nurses Union, have been researching the impacts of COVID-19 on nurses in British Columbia. By comparing results of their recent survey with 2019 data, Dr. Havaei's team has found that front-line workers are experiencing increased stress, and support the call for more nursing staff and mental health support at the front lines of the pandemic response.
