Dr. Fuchsia Howard has been awarded the prestigious 5-year Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Scholar Award. Dr. Howard's research program is in Critical Illness Survivorship: Evidence to Design Patient-Centred Interventions, which aims to identify patient-and family-perspectives for designing healthcare services that meet the needs of the high percentage of ICU patients who are readmitted within a year with complex medical conditions.
