Sentinel U® Announces Formation of Thought Leadership Advisory Council
On January 21, 2022, Sentinel U®, a provider of web-based simulation education technology solutions for nursing schools, hospital systems and healthcare professionals, introduced the founding members of its Thought Leadership Advisory Council. These eight experts from nursing, academia, research and development will help guide Sentinel U in its continued development of effective virtual nursing simulation.
Among the eight experts is Adjunct Professor David Byres. David Byres, DNP, MSN, BA, RN, CHE, is president and CEO of the British Columbia Provincial Health Services Authority. Dr. Byres has over 25 years of clinical and leadership experience in the health sector, previously serving as chief nursing executive for the Canadian Ministry of Health.
The School of Nursing uses the Sentinel U software in our simulations and has been working with other nursing schools across Canada to evaluate its use in our educational programs.
The Sentinel U Advisory Council is a two-year commitment. The Council will meet at least three times each year to provide valuable thought leadership on current popular topics such as the state of the nursing profession and the future of simulation integration.
