The publication Assessing the impact of Canadian primary care research and researchers (Dr. Monica Aggarwal, Dr Sabrina Wong, et al.) identified the 50 most cited primary care researchers in Canada by analyzing data from the Scopus database and assessing various parameters, including the number of publications and citations, research themes, Scopus h index, etc.
From a pool of 266 established Canadian primary care researchers, Dr. Annette Browne ranked in the top-twenty, was one of six researchers from UBC, and was the most highly-cited of three nurse researchers in a field dominated by mostly male clinician scientists (family medicine).
