We are thrilled to announce and celebrate the exceptional achievements of Dr. Vicky Bungay, who is a current member of the CIHR College of Reviewers.
In providing Vicky with her Certificate of Recognition, Associate Vice-President of Research Programs Adrian Mota stated that "part of CIHR’s Review Quality Assurance (RQA) process is recognizing outstanding contributions to peer review. Through feedback and observations from Committee Chairs, Scientific Officers and CIHR staff, the RQA process captures contributions that exemplify the very best of peer reviewers, such as:
- Providing reviews that go above and beyond expectations
- Volunteering to take on additional tasks on short notice
- Participating constructively in discussions of applications – including those to which they have not been assigned."
Mr. Mota added these words of appreciation to Vicky's congratulatory note:
On behalf of CIHR and the College of Reviewers, thank you for your selfless generosity volunteering your time and expertise and for your commitment to excellence in peer review.
~ Adrian Mota, Associate Vice-President, Research Programs, CIHR

Vicky's unwavering commitment to rigor and fairness in evaluating research proposals has played a pivotal role in ensuring that valuable research receives funding, which in turn drives innovation and excellence within nursing research. This kind of dedication inspires continued confidence in the integrity of the peer review process.
Vicky's achievements serve as a shining example of the positive impact that dedicated individuals can have on the scientific community. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Vicky Bungay on this well-deserved recognition, and express our deepest gratitude for her continued contributions to nursing research.
